Introduction 1.1 Background of research One of the most critical dilemmas that business organizations face in modern days is essentially the utilization of strategies to increase the productivity of their workforces. Experts in the domain of human resource management are of the opinion that the efficiency of employees can be enhanced with by bringing changes in the manner in which the workforce is compensated, trained and motivated for working towards the benefit of the organization (Van Buren Greenwood, 2011). However, yet another school of researchers is of the opinion that such changes would also be reflected on the manner in which an organization operates, thus indicating the fact that organizational activities are largely dependent on employee relationships (Sutherland, 2011). The primary objective of this paper is to propose a research work which is aimed at identifying the relationship between the processes using which the employee relations are management and the extent to which the productivity of the employees is increased. 1.2 Aim of research The aim of the research work proposed in this paper is to identify the relationship between employee relationship management and enhancement of employee efficiency. The researchers would emphasize on the optimized utilization of employee relationship programs so as to increase organizational productivity in particularly in small industry. 1.3 Objective of research The primary objective of the proposed research work is has been outlined in the following section of the report: To identify the employee relationship programs that are used widely by business organizations. To find out the relationship between the employee relationship programs and the level of efficiency of the employees. To perform a comparative analysis of the identified employee relationship programs and to compare their efficiency in improving work force productivity. 2. Project Methodology The proposed research work would be conducted through the following stages: 2.1 Literature review: Conducting a review of the existing literary works is considered to be the first step of conducting a successful research work, as the background studies provide large volumes of information regarding the domain in which the research study is conducted on (Popping, 2012). An in depth analysis of several existing literary works, including text books and scholarly articles would be conducted before proceeding with the actual research work, so as to gain information on the research works that have been conducted previously in the same domain. 2.2 Data Surveys and information collection: After conducting the literature review, the researchers would collect information from primary sources of data: information would be collected from the higher management of several small business organizations so as to identify the relationship between the employee relationship programs practiced by them and levels of employee efficiency achieved through the implementation of such programs (Vandenberg, 2010). Similar information would also be collected from the employees of the organizations so as to gain an insight into their perspective. 2.3 Identifying the key factors that increase employee productivity: The information collected from the higher management and employees of the surveyed business organizations would be analyzed with the aim of identifying the primary factors essential for increasing the efficiency of employees (Popping, 2012).
